Description
We offer natural nettle hydrolate for cosmetics, obtained from the species Urtica dioica. The liquid bears the name Nettle natural hydrolate for cosmetics. The plants occupy Bulgarian fields, and they are cultivated naturally without artificial auxiliary agents. The raw material comes from the leaf mass. The stem and leaves bear a dense covering of stinging glandular hairs, which is evident from the appearance of the initial material even before processing. Extraction is carried out by steam distillation. The species yields few volatile substances and stands outside the circle of classic essential oil plants, which determines the restrained character of the aqueous fraction in this distillate. The aroma remains soft in strength and does not stand out ahead of the other characteristics of the liquid, and its perception is even. The scent combines a fresh and an earthy side, to which herbal notes are also added. When fresh plant mass is distilled, the aqueous phase takes up mainly alcohols, and hexenol brings a grassy green shade to the overall aromatic profile of the liquid. The Urticaceae family brings together herbaceous species, and the raw material's belonging to this group determines the plant's place in botanical systematics. The color ranges from colorless to pale yellow, as the leaf raw material releases few coloring compounds when they pass into the aqueous medium. The product is a liquid of uniform density. The composition remains natural in origin and contains no preservatives from an external source. No colorants are added, which is why the tone of the liquid depends only on the plant substances that have passed into it. Along with its pure composition, the distillate retains its restrained scent and light coloring under normal conditions. The nettle leaves a fresh earthy trace and a light tone without unnecessary heaviness in this aqueous distillate.
